Sarah E. Dowdy, 95, died Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Southwest Christian Care Hospice Unit in Union City, Georgia.
She was born the daughter of Bert and Sally Taylor on April 26, 1926. She spent her childhood growing up in Fitzgerald, Georgia and took on many of the household duties of supporting a family when her mother, Sally E. (Hunter) Taylor passed away at Sarah's early age of 14. She continued high school while helping maintain a household with her dad and three brothers, Jack, Virgil, and Ernest.
