MR. ZESTA HUGH WHITE, age 85, of Dublin, GA, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Shamrock Nursing Home in Dublin.

MR. ZESTA HUGH WHITE, age 85, of Dublin, GA, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Shamrock Nursing Home in Dublin.

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, April 5, at Pinehill Church, with Rev. Tommy Veal and Rev. Alan Heath officiating. A family visitation will be an hour before services in the church sanctuary. Mr. White will be laid to rest following services in Pinehill Church Cemetery.

 Zesta was born in Milan, GA in 1937. He graduated from Milan High School in 1955 and later joined the U.S. Air Force in 1959. He served most of his time in service in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. He became a computer programmer for B.F. Goodrich in Thomaston in the 1970s before going to work for Southeast Paper in the 1980s and 1990s. After retiring in the 1990s, he and his wife enjoyed years of traveling in their RV and were members of several RV clubs throughout the Southeast. He was a faithful member of Pinehill Church and served on several committees over the years. He was a dedicated husband of 60 years and a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Zesta enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping, hunting, and was an avid outdoorsman. He loved watching westerns on TV, reading westerns, and listening to them on audio books. He cherished moments playing cards with family and friends. He treasured spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was the son of the late George Columbus White and Mable Cook White. He was preceded in death by his devoted Wife, Betty Ann Johnson White, Daughter, Rhonda White Donaldson, Great-Grandchild, Angel Mimbs, and 3 Siblings, Forris White, Hilton White, and Zelda White Selph.

 He is survived by his Daughter – Rita Adams (Robby) of Dublin; Son – Richard White (Cyndi) of Athens; 8 Grandchildren – Crystal Mimbs (Eric) of Dexter, Tiffany Adams of Dublin, Brittany Woodard (Kyle) of Rentz, Stephanie Walker (Jacob) of Sapulpa, OK, Amber Davila-White (Jordan) of Conroe, TX, Nikki Roland (Dustin) of Perry, Krissy Carlisle (Travis) of Lizella, and William “Billy” Chambers (Rachel) of San Diego, CA; 11 Great-Grandchildren; Sister – Helen White Swanson of Milan, GA; Brother-in-law – Tim Johnson of Hawkinsville; Several Nieces and Nephews.
