MR. WILLIS T. DOMINY, age 83, of Eastman, GA, died Friday, October 16, 2020 at Dodge County Hospital.

 Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM Monday, October 19, at Orphans Cemetery in Eastman, with Dr. Paul Cowles and Dr. Jerry Peele officiating.

 Mr. Dominy was born in Laurens County, attended school in Cadwell, graduated from Eastman High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Eastman First Baptist Church and the Sunday school teacher for the D.O.C. Class. He was a civil service employee at Robins Air Force Base, working over 25 years before retiring and then worked as a contractor on base for an additional 20 years. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed many hobbies including spending special moments at Christmas with his family at his decorated home which was an annual event for the Dominy family. Mr. Dominy was a member of several Daylily clubs and took great pride in his gardening and enjoyed collectibles and antiques. He had a talent for coordinating and planning weddings and assisted many couples through the years. Willis was son of the late Easter Jackson Dominy and Coleman Dominy and is preceded in death by his wife, Madeline Barlow Dominy, and 5 siblings, J.D. Dominy, Myra Dominy Fordham, Alfred Dominy, Glenn Dominy, and Sue Dominy Moore.

             He is survived by his Son – Chris Dominy (Lisa) of Eastman; Grandson – Brent Dominy (Callen) of Brookhaven; Sisters-in-law – Kay Garrett (Wilbur) of Gresston, Linda Dominy and Vicki Dominy, both of Eastman; Brothers-in-law – Eddie Moore (Tammy Knight) of Yonkers, and Lynn Fordham (Sara) of Dublin; Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

 Mr. Dominy will lie-in-state at Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home from 11:00AM until 3:00PM, Sunday, October 18, 2020. In addition to flowers the family requests contributions in memory of Willis and Madeline Dominy to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 5107 Oak Street, Eastman, GA 31023.
