MR. WILLIE OSCAR PITTMAN, age 62, of Bonaire, GA, died Friday, March 12, 2021 at his residence.

 Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM Monday, March 15, at Bay Springs Cemetery, Rhine, GA, with Rev. Roy Williams officiating.

 Willie was raised in Rhine, GA, a member of Rhine Baptist Church, and a 1977 graduate of Dodge County High School. After high school he worked as a brick mason with his father-in-law for a few years before going to work at Piggly Wiggly in Eastman as a butcher. He worked there for several years before going to work at the Butcher Block. During this time, he attended Ben Hill Irwin Technical College in Fitzgerald where he earned his certificate in machine tool and die. He then went to work at Robins AFB in the mid 1980s and retired as an electronics planner after 31 years as a civil service employee. Willie was a dedicated father and a loving grandfather who enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling, going on cruises, helping his friends, and cooking for his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his Father, Bobby Ray Pittman, Sr.

 He is survived by his Daughter – Michelle White (Jessie) of Eastman; Son – Grant Pittman (Brandy) of Eastman; Companion – Lorna Beavers of Bonaire; 5 Grandchildren – Dalton White, Jessa White, Chance White, Hailey Pittman, and Gunner Pittman; Mother – Lessie Hulett Pittman of Rhine; 2 Brothers – Joey Pittman (Melinda) of Warner Robins and Bobby Pittman of Eastman; Niece – Brandi Ellingham (Brian) of Perry; Nephew – Robbie Pittman of Atlanta; Aunts – Ida Mae Register of Jacksonville, GA, Catherine Hulett, and Betty Hulett both of Rhine; Uncle – Gerald Hulett (Shirley) of Bowling Green, KY; Numerous Cousins and Friends.

 The family may be contacted at the residence of Michelle and Jessie White, 6621 Jim Pruett Rd., Eastman. Willie will lie-in-state from 1:00PM-4:00PM Sunday, March 14 in Southerland Funeral Chapel.
