MR. WILLIAM STANLEY MAY, age 64, of Eastman, GA, died Sunday, January 2, 2022, at the Dodge County Hospital.

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, January 4, at Southerland Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ricky Anderson officiating with interment in May Family Cemetery.

 Mr. May was a lifelong resident of Eastman, a member of Bible Baptist Church, and a 1975 graduate of Dodge County High School. After high school he joined the United States Army and served honorably for 4 years. He was a retired City of Eastman Street Department employee after working for many years. He previously worked for Reynolds Metals for over 25 years and later for Gilman Paper Company for 8 years. Stanley was a dedicated husband and a loving father, grandfather, and brother. He enjoyed gardening, canning vegetables, collecting fishing lures, and loved animals. He enjoyed spending time with his faithful canine companion, Mindy, his cows, Nellie and Marcie and his koi fish. He loved it all and loved life. Stanley was the son of the late William “Bill” May and was preceded in death by his son, Bradley May.

 He is survived by his Wife – Susan Mullis May of Eastman; Daughter – Brandi Johnson (Ryan) of Tallahassee, FL; Granddaughter – Kathryn Johnson of Tallahassee, FL; Mother – Laura Grace Sapp May of Eastman; Sister – Sandra Martin (Doug) of Eastman; 2 Brothers – David May (Patsy) and Mark May (Sandra), both of Eastman; 2 Aunts – Jane Sapp English (Donnie) of Brunswick and Mary Sapp Burch of Eastman; Uncle – Buddy Spires; Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law – Milton Mullis (Judy), James Mullis, C.J. Mullis, Bobby Lee Mullis, Tony Mullis, Patsy Yazdi (Pejman), Willie Mullis (Phyllis), Mary Busbee (Junior), Alanna Mullis; Several Nieces and Nephews.

 The family may be contacted at the May residence, 134 Theo Foster Road, Eastman and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 6:00PM-8:00PM on Monday January 3, 2022. In addition to flowers, the family requests contributions to Gideons International Bible Fund.
