MR. WILLIAM ROBERT SINGLETARY, age 66, of Eastman, GA, died Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center in Augusta, GA.

 The family will receive friends and family in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 10:00AM-11:00AM Wednesday, September 10. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, following the visitation, with Rev. Patrick Barnett officiating, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.

 William was born in Eastman, GA on April 25, 1959, to the late Arlean Fountain Singletary and Lars Singletary. He was a lifelong resident of Dodge County, a member of Greenlawn Baptist Church, and attended Dodge County High School. After high school, he worked at Stuckey’s Candy Company and later at Rentz Cabinet Company for over five years, before embarking on a 20-year career with the Dodge County Road Department, where he retired in 2021. He loved all kinds of racing, from NASCAR to dirt track, all the way down to go-karts, and enjoyed riding his side-by-side with his family, watching wrestling, westerns, The Andy Griffith Show, and Seinfeld. But most of all, William loved his family, especially his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, who affectionately called him “Nu”, “Woosh”, “Bones”, and “Papa Willie”. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sister, Debelene Singletary, Brothers, W.C. Singletary and Johnny Lee Singletary, Nephews, Rek Rowland and Nathan Singletary, and Sister-in-law, Doris Singletary.

 He is survived by his Daughter – Helen Horne (Nathan) of Hawkinsville, GA; Grandsons – Bentley Horne, Barrett Horne, and Brigham Horne; Brother – Cheyenne Singletary (Carol) of Eastman, GA; Sister-in-law – Dale Brown Singletary of Eastman, GA; Nieces and Nephews – Scot Singletary (Mandi), Richie Rowland (Brenda), Mike Rowland (Melinda), Randy Singletary (Bell), John Singletary, Chris Singletary (Cindy), Brandy Singletary, Shane Singletary (Lauren), and Sheena Morgan (Tyler); Great-Nieces and Nephews – Tori, Taylor, Noah, Devan, Jason, Reece R., Rachel, Rae, Britnee, Chase, Kody, Joey, Reece S., Mason, Dalton, Jared, Jacob, Bradyn, and Bayler; Numerous cousins and friends.
