MRS. WILLENE SHEFFIELD COBB, age 77, of Eastman, GA, died Monday, June 29, 2020 at her residence.

 A private family funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2020 in Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Joey Bohannon and Rev. Joe Daniel officiating, with interment in Orphans Cemetery.

 Mrs. Cobb was born in Milan, of the Baptist Faith, a 1962 graduate of Dodge County High School, and attended Middle Georgia College. She was a retired bookkeeper for Stuckey’s, Inc. and Standard Candy Company for over 38 years. Earlier in life she was employed by C & J Manufacturing and Piggly Wiggly for several years. She was a dedicated wife and a loving mother and Meme who enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing, trips to St. George Island, FL, and senior trips with friends. Willene was the daughter of the late Mae Farmer Sheffield and John Quience Sheffield and was preceded in death by 8 Siblings, Ruby Sheffield Burch, Clarence Sheffield, Shippy Sheffield, Albert Sheffield, Razz Sheffield, Robert Sheffield, Needham Sheffield, and Wilmer Sheffield.

 She is survived by her Husband of 56 years – Therell Cobb of Eastman; Daughter – Celena Cobb McDermitt (Todd) of Eastman; Son – Terry Cobb (Tonya) of Dublin; 4 Grandchildren – Taylor Cobb, Tannah Cobb, Melena McDermitt, and Ashley McDermitt Cervantes (Charlie); 3 Sisters – Ruth Dennis of Eastman, Rossie Giddens (Carrol Ray) of Plainfield, and Martha Rogers of Eastman; Sisters-in-law – Denise Sheffield of Reynolds, Javene Sheffield of Eastman, Regina Sheffield of Acworth, Dora C. Watson (Boree) of Hawkinsville, Kema Sheffield (Leslie Holland) of Eastman, Merle Stephens (James) of Hawkinsville and Chris Cobb of Lambtown; Brothers-in-law – Floyd Cobb of Hawkinsville and Leon Cobb (Jo) of Ft. Valley; Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

 The family may be contacted at the residence of Celena and Todd McDermitt, 430 9th Avenue, Eastman. In addition to flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
