WENDY SHEREE JACKSON ROGERS, age 39, of Eastman, GA, died Sunday, June 26, 2022, at Emory University Medical Center in Atlanta.

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Friday, July 1, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Dahl McDermitt, Jr. officiating, with interment in Barnhill Cemetery in Soperton, GA.

 Wendy was born in Dublin and raised in Treutlen County. She was a member of Blackville Church of God in Adrian, GA, a 2001 graduate of Treutlen County High School, and received her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education in 2006 from Georgia Southern University. After college she worked as an elementary school teacher at Treutlen County Elementary School from 2006 to 2010 and later earned her Master of Education in 2010 from Georgia Southern University. In 2011, she went to work for Heartland Academy and for the last several years she has been the lead teacher in charge of educating high school children. She really enjoyed teaching and making a difference in the lives of her students. Wendy loved making jewelry and was owner and operator of Heart-to-Heart Boutique. She also enjoyed tending to and riding horses, gardening, and cooking. For the past two years, she has been a color street representative and owned Perfectly Polished with Purpose. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, who loved her family dearly and her heart was her daughter Annaleise. Wendy was a very thoughtful person. She had a very honest and gentle personality. She was sweet, loving, kind, and always made time for others. Wendy was preceded in death by her Father, Willie Jackson, Jr.

 She is survived by her Husband of 15 years – Chris Rogers of Eastman; Daughter – Annaleise “Rooster” Rogers of Eastman; Mother – Wonnie Walker Jackson of Soperton; 6 Brothers – Percy Jackson, Terry Jackson (Luana), Craig Jackson (Shari), Brad Jackson, Brock Jackson (Martha), all of Adrian, and Derek Jackson (Kristen) and Dublin; Mother-in-law and Father-in-law – LaRita Smith Holder and Douglas Holder, both of Eastman; Sister-in-law – Cierra Holder Ciucevich of Gresston, GA; Nieces and Nephews – Jaxon, Hunter, Kyle, Trey, Kaydance, Brandon, and Lainey; Grandmother-in-law – Rita Thomas Sanders of Eastman; Aunts and Uncles – Clora Mosley, Sue Messer, both of Jesup, GA, Nina Poole, Clarence Walker, both of Soperton, GA, Polly Byers of Canton, GA, Vona Walker of Jacksonville, FL, and Curd Walker of Evans, LA; Numerous Cousins and Friends.

 The family may be contacted at the residence of LaRita and Douglas Holder, 46 Maple Drive, Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 6:00PM-8:00PM Thursday, June 30.
