MR. WENDELL ODELL “SONNY” PEACOCK, age 74, of Lizella, GA, died Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Navicent Health Medical Center in Macon.

 Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, April 24, at Southerland Funeral Chapel in Eastman with Rev. Mike Grenade officiating, with interment in Robins Cemetery.

 Mr. Peacock was born in Eastman, a graduate of Dodge County High School, a member of the Church of Christ in Byron, a United States Army Veteran, and a retired mechanic for the United States Postal Service in Macon, where he worked for 24 years. He was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with family, playing guitar and making music, and was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in Atlanta in 2006 as lead guitarist of the Al Etheridge Band. He also enjoyed daily visits with his friends at the local Burger King and exercising with Jannie at Tim’s Total Fitness. He was son of the late Mable Alene Miller Peacock and Manuel Odell Peacock and was preceded in death by 3 Brothers, S.L. Peacock, Richard Peacock, and Gerald Peacock.

 He is survived by his Companion of 25 years – Jannie Miley Moore of Lizella; Daughter – Chastity Peacock Hoffman (Chris) of Knoxville; 2 Sons – Scotty Peacock (Michelle) of Roberta and Wendell Alvin Peacock (Kristy Riley) of Lizella; 2 Step Children – Jay Moore and Natasha Figueroa, both of St. Peter, MN; 10 Grandchildren – Conner Hoffman, Brianna Hoffman, Brittany Padgett, Keith Padgett, Dylan Peacock, Hayli Peacock, Nathan Peacock, Ashley Moore, Shane Peacock, and Rowan Peacock; 10 Great-Grandchildren; Sister – Martha Peacock Daniel of Warner Robins; Several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. 

 The family will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 12:30PM-2:00PM Wednesday, April 24.
