MR. WAYNE MATHEW BURCH, age 72, of Eastman, GA, died Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Serenity Hospice in Dublin, GA.

MR. WAYNE MATHEW BURCH, age 72, of Eastman, GA, died Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Serenity Hospice in Dublin, GA.

 Graveside services will be held at 10:00AM Friday, September 24, at Vilula Baptist Church Cemetery, with Mr. Bobby Ryals officiating.

 Wayne was born in Eastman, a 1968 graduate of Dodge County High School, and a member of Central Baptist Church. He worked as a fire watchman for the Georgia Forestry Commission, was a former employee at Eastman Cotton Mill, for several years, and worked at Goody’s Inc. and for Shorty Bearden for many years as a store manager. He also worked at Heart of Georgia Technical College and North Dodge Elementary as a custodial engineer. Wayne was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed riding around the woods on his golf cart, watching hummingbirds, playing cards with friends, and giving his great-nieces and great-nephews nicknames. He was a loving brother and a favorite uncle to his family. He was the son of the late Ola Haley McCranie Burch and Charlie Clifford Burch and was preceded in death by a Step-Brother, Ricky Barnwell, and a Niece, Delane Burnham Mullis.

 He is survived by his 4 Siblings – Loucenia Pritchett of Eastman, Joyce Nettles of Helena, AL, Bobby Burch (Elizabeth), and Brenda Bryant (Charles), both of Eastman;  Step-Sister - Rhonda Graham Helms of Chester;  Step-Brother - Randy Barnwell of Gresston;  Nieces and Nephews – Diana Burnham Johnson (Paul), Chris Stark (Amanda), Ronda Chandler (Jere), Derek Stark, Hayley Goldhagen (David), Bobby Burch, Jr. (Christy), Heather Burch (Julia), Lisa Knight (Stevie), Chuck Bryant (Jennifer), and Nikki Shuler (T.J.); Numerous Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews; 1 Great-Great-Nephew and 1 Great-Great-Niece; Numerous Cousins, and Friends.

 The family may be contacted at the residence of Loucenia Pritchett, 326 Lawndale Drive, Eastman. Wayne will lie-in-state at Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home from 11:00AM-4:00PM Thursday, September 23.
