VICTOR MATTEO STAPLETON, age 56, of Eastman, GA, died Friday, July 5, 2019 at his residence.

 Memorial services will be held at 11:00AM Monday, July 8, at The River at Eastman, with Rev. Gerald Conley and Pastor Dahl McDermitt, Jr. officiating, with interment in Minton Chapel Cemetery in Kite, GA.

 Victor was born in Baltimore, MD, a member of The River at Eastman, attended Heart of Georgia Technical College sheet metal program, and was a retired tile setter for over 25 years for White Tile Sales and Service in Washington, GA. He enjoyed watching football and wrestling, was a devoted family man who loved his family and children, and enjoyed attending church and worshiping his Lord and Savior. Victor was son of the late Massey Alma Scarboro Smith and Marvin Dee Stapleton and was preceded in death by a Step-Son, Josh Huff and Granddaughter, Lilly Huff.

 Survivors: Wife – Melanie Mullis Stapleton of Eastman; Daughter – Laci Shea Stapleton of South Carolina; Step-Daughter – Jennifer Huff Dancy (Brian) of Eastman; 2 Step-Sons – Jody Huff of Winder and Justin Huff of Hazlehurst; Step-Daughter-in-Law – Cori Wright Huff of Jonesboro; 10 Grandchildren – Jaxon Stapleton, Candler Saunders, Chloe Dancy, Pryson Ezra Huff, Austin Lee Fields, Paisley Huff, Bailey Huff, Braylon Huff, Caleb Foskey, and Abigail Foskey; 3 Sisters – Darlene Hatchett (Joseph Ritchie) of Lakeland, FL, Debbie Allen of Chester, and Laura Riesing of Kinston, NC; 3 Brothers – John Benjamin Allen (Brenda) of Rivington, WY, Steve Stapleton (Carol), and Michael Stapleton both of Niagara Falls, NY; Mother-in-Law – Sandra Mullis of Eastman; Father-in-Law – Charles Tuberville (Sarah) of Dublin; Several Nieces and Nephews.

 The family may be contacted at the residence of Sandra Mullis, 5717 Anson Avenue, Eastman, and will receive friends at The River at Eastman from 10:30AM-11:00AM Monday, July 8. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to The Refuge, 345 Pearl Bates Avenue, Eastman, GA 31023.
