MR. DAVID VANCE “VAN” WILLIAMS, age 53, of Statesboro, GA, formerly of Eastman, GA, died Friday, September 10, 2021, at Candler County Hospital, in Metter, GA.

 Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Tuesday, September 14, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Ronnie Jones officiating, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.

 Van was born and raised in Dodge County, of the Christian Faith, a graduate of Dodge County High School, and a graduate of Middle Georgia College with a degree in nursing. He was a former employee at Quality Home Health in Eastman, for many years, and for the last twelve years he has served as the director of nursing for Eagle Health and Rehab, Westwood Nursing Center, and Brown’s Health and Rehab, all of Statesboro, Hazlehurst Court Care and Rehab in Hazlehurst, and Glenwood Health and Rehab in Glenwood, GA, but was currently employed by Azalea Health and Rehab in Augusta, GA as the director of nursing for the past couple of years. He was a loving husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his family, was an avid Georgia Bulldog’s fan, and enjoyed cooking for his family. Van was the son of the late Linda Clements Williams and John Morris Williams and was preceded in death by a Sister, Susan Fordham, and 2 Brothers-in-law, Carroll Fordham and Danny Perry.

 He is survived by his Wife – Holly Thompson Williams of Statesboro; Daughter – Caitlin Williams (Sean) of Statesboro; 5 Sons – Hunter Williams, Dalton Crosby, Drake Crosby, Dax Crosby, all of Statesboro, and Devin Crosby (Shelby) of McRae; Sister – Sherri Williams Perry of Gainesville, GA; Mother-in-law – Rhonda Thompson of Statesboro; Several Nieces and Nephews.

 The family may be contacted at the Williams residence, 300 Palomino Path, Statesboro, GA, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 6:00PM-8:00PM Monday, September 13.
