MR. WILLIAM THOMAS “TOMMY” WHIGGUM, SR., age 66, died Monday, July 10, 2023.

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, July 19, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Mr. David Yawn officiating, with a private committal service at Orange Hill Cemetery in Hawkinsville, GA.

 Tommy was born in Hawkinsville and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Helena, GA. He was a 1974 graduate of Dodge County High School and later attended Middle Georgia College, where he studied criminal justice. He worked for Cemex Cement Company as an electrician and later retired after 45 years of faithful service and was owner and operator of a well pump service for many years. He was a dedicated husband and a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed working on his farm and tending his animals. Tommy enjoyed family trips to the Great Smoky Mountains, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and was an avid fan of watching westerns on T.V. He was the son of the late Vernell King Whiggum and William Monroe Whiggum and was preceded in death by his Sister, Linda Whiggum Lowery and Brother, David Whiggum.

 He is survived by his Loving Wife – Angie Moore Whiggum of Eastman; 2 Daughters – Angelia Attaway (Christopher) and Helen Clark (Adam), both of Eastman; Son – Thomas Whiggum, Jr. (Chelsea) of Eastman; 9 Grandchildren – Callier Krontz, Callie Attaway, Carsan Attaway, Aubrey Clark, Carter Attaway, Will Whiggum III, Dylan Clark, Emily Clark, and Lizzy Whiggum; 2 Sisters – Nancy Steele and Patricia Jones (Johnny), both of Eastman; Brother – Byron Whiggum (Bonnie) of Cochran; Mother-in-law – Faye Green (Bailey) of Eastman; Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law – Jackie Barlow (Phil) of Eastman and Johnny Moore (Monelle) of Chancey; Several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

 The family may be contacted at the Whiggum residence, 4492 Antioch Church Rd., Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 10:00AM-11:00AM Wednesday, July 19. Serving as pallbearers are Lock Whigam, Andrew Whiggum, Bart Jones, Chan Jones, Derrick Moore, and Phillip Barlow.
