MR. TOMMY LEE SPIRES, SR., age 59, of Eastman, GA, died Friday, June 19, 2026, at the Dodge County Hospital.

 A private family memorial will be held at a later date.

 Mr. Spires was born on June 26, 1966, in Eastman, GA, a lifelong resident of Dodge County, and of the Baptist faith. He attended Dodge County High School before going to work. He worked several jobs over the years including Heavy Equipment Operator for Coffee Construction Company, Gilman Paper Company and Hardy Farms where he operated peanut stands. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors, spending time with his family and trips to the river. He was a family man and was affectionately known as “Uncle Tommy”. He spent a lot of time with his wife Amanda and his grandson Laydin who was his best friend. He will be missed dearly by all who loved him. Tommy is preceded in death by his brother, Ray Spires and his wife Trendie Spires, step-mother, Joyce Williams Spires, step-sister, Cecilia Parker Simmons, and a niece, Haily Spires.

 He is survived by his Wife – Amanda Lowery Spires of Eastman; Daughters – Victoria Spires of Eastman and Ashley Spires (Kendra Whittington) of Hawkinsville; Son – Tommy Lee “T.J.” Spires, Jr. (Laryn) of Eastman; Step-Son – Dustin Paul (Krysta), Davey Muncher and Derric Muncher; Grandchildren – Laydin Spires, Toryn Spires, Rynlee Spires, Makenzie Young, Triston Young, Presley Young, Elizabeth Ussery (Allen), Kevin Whittington, Jr., Joe Waid III, Makayla Newborn, Christian Newborn, Bryson Batson, Callie Muncher, Savannah Spires, Will Spires, Hayden Muncher, Alyssa Muncher, and Dax Schmitz; Mother – Annelle Sanford Spires of Eastman; Father - Charles Jackson Spires of Eastman; Brothers – Tracy Spires (Wanda) and Bobby Spires, both of Eastman; Step-Sister – Becky Oxley (Danny) of Eastman; Step-Brother – Jeffery Parker of Eastman; Numerous Nieces and Nephews
