MR. TOMMY CRAVEY, age 64, of Pigeon Forge, TN, formerly of Eastman, GA, died Friday, May 27, 2022.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Tommy was born in Bleckley County, GA, raised in Dodge County, and moved with his family several times during his childhood. He worked for several years as a mechanic before starting his construction business, Cravey Construction. He worked for many years as a carpenter before finally retiring to spend more time with his grandchildren and so he could fish more. He loved the outdoors, fishing, his animals, and most of all, spending time with his many grandchildren, who called him “Pa”. Tommy never met a stranger and was always one everyone could depend on to provide a helping hand. He was generous to a fault and would give the shirt off his back and ask for nothing in return. Tommy was the son of the late Sarah Brown Cravey and Joseph Benjamin Cravey and was preceded in death by a Grandson, Michael Tyler Cravey, and 5 Siblings, Joseph Cravey, Jr., Earl Cravey, Joann Cravey, Shirley Mullis, and Judy Cravey.
He is survived by his Wife of 28 years – Belinda Glore Cravey of Pigeon Forge, TN; 5 Sons – T.J. Cravey (Angie), Joey Cravey (Katie), both of Eastman, Andrew Benjamin Cravey of Forsyth, Michael Cravey of Pigeon Forge, TN, and Jamie Cravey (Nikki) of Baxley; Daughter – Julie Ann Hatcher (Joseph) of Pigeon Forge; 30 Grandchildren; 5 Great-Grandchildren; Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
The family may be contacted at the residence of Joey and Katie Cravey, 815 Albert Lampkin Rd., Eastman.
