MRS. SUSAN WARD EVANS, age 56, of Eastman, GA, died Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at her residence.

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, July 27, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Arnold Rye officiating, with interment in Cottondale Cemetery.

 Susan was born in Clinton, TN, before moving to Eastman at age 4. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, a 1986 graduate of Dodge County High School, and later attended vocational school. She was a homemaker, loved shopping at various thrift stores, crafts, sewing, and spending lots of time with her grandbabies, who were her heart and joy. She worked every day to be the best mother and “MeMe” she could be. Susan loved celebrating with her family on any special occasions, especially during the holiday seasons when she could have all her family together. She was preceded in death by her Father, Earl Ward, and Stepfather, Wyndall Simmons.

 She is survived by her Husband – Anthony Manning Evans of Eastman, GA; Daughters – Brittany Parker (Chris) of Eastman, GA, Kayla Snelgrove (Brandon) of Rentz, GA, and Sara Barlow (Justin) of Eastman, GA; Grandchildren – No’Lynn Everleigh Parker, Ella Snelgrove, Abby Snelgrove, Caleb Mitchell Snelgrove, Cara Snelgrove, Carolina Douglass, Owen Anthony Barlow, and Lillian Fancy Barlow; Mother – Sue Rutherford Simmons of Cochran, GA; Sisters – Teresa Hicks (David) of Cochran, GA and Cheryl Cordell (Dennis) of Newington, GA; Brother – Arlis Ward of Eastman, GA; Step-Brothers – Travis Simmons, Trent Simmons, and Todd Simmons; Mother-in-law and Father-in-law – Faye and Manning Evans of Eastman, GA; Sister-in-law – Melinda Evans Rowland (Mike) of Eastman, GA; Several Nieces and Nephews.

 The family may be contacted at the residence of Faye and Manning Evans, 5929 Peacock Avenue, Eastman, GA and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 10:00AM-11:00AM Saturday, July 27.
