MRS. SUSAN “SUE” BROWN PITTS, age 75, of Milan, GA, died Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Coliseum Medical Center in Macon.

 Graveside services will be held at 3:00PM Tuesday, April 7, at Sand Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Joey Bohannon officiating.

 Sue was born in McRae, a dedicated member of Sand Grove Baptist Church, and after school she got married and moved to Macon where she lived until 1964. Upon moving back to the Dodge County area, she worked for over 30 years at Standard Candy Company until her retirement where she then went to work at South Dodge Elementary School for many years in the lunchroom helping the children who she dearly loved and they affectionately called her “Granny Sue”. She enjoyed going to various nursing homes and visiting with the residents and helping to brighten their day. She also enjoyed cooking, working in her yard, and most of all spending time with her family and friends. Sue was the daughter of the late Annie Williams Brown and Jess Brown and was preceded in death by 5 Siblings, John K. Brown, J.I. Brown, Larry Brown, Rachel B. Brown, and Hazel B. Roberson.

 She is survived by her Husband of 59 years – Horace B. Pitts of Milan; Daughter – Tonya Pitts Hobbs of Douglasville; Son – Jesse Pitts of Eastman; 3 Grandchildren – Heather Pitts Bryan of Cochran, Justin Allen Hobbs (Jess) of Cartersville, and Cody Benjamin Hobbs of Douglasville; 3 Great-Grandchildren – Dawson Bryan, Caleb Bryan both of Cochran, and Audrey Hobbs of Catersville; Sister – Janet Hickman of Eastman; Sisters-in-law and Brothers-in-law – Willie Brown, Patsy Brown, Johnnie Kate Brown, John Will Roberson, and Charles Pitts (Joyce); Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Sand Grove Baptist Church.
