CAROLE SUE TIDWELL HAMMONS, age 76, of Eastman, GA, died Monday, June 7, 2021, at her residence.

 A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 12 at 3:00PM in Friendship Baptist Church in Dry Branch, GA with Rev. Charles Carter officiating.

 Sue was born and raised in Macon, a graduate of Miller High School in Macon, and a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Twiggs County. She worked many part time jobs over the years in Bibb County before moving to Eastman in 2019. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed fishing, camping, socializing with friends, and spending time with her family. She was always pleasant to be around and was always the life of the party. Sue was the daughter of the late Alma Grace King Walton and Kenneth Wilmer Walton and was preceded in death by her birth Father, Oscar Lemoine Tidwell, Daughter, Pamela Cherie Hammons Chick, 2 Grandchildren, April Chick and Robert Dean Chick, Jr., and Great-Grandson, Zachary Chick.

 She is survived by her Husband of 50 years – Leonard Lee “Butch” Hammons, Jr. of Eastman; Son-in-law – Robert Chick (Amanda) of Eastman; 3 Grandchildren – Brandie Nicole Chick, T.J. Chick, and Aron Chick, all of Eastman; Great-Grandchildren – Makayla Chick, Lydia Verzyl, Molly Chick, and Beau Chick; Sister – Patricia Ann Walton (Fred) of Gray; Sister-in-law – Carol Lewis (Gary) of Dry Branch; Several Nieces and Nephews.

 In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to the Ronald McDonald House, 1160 Forsyth St, Macon, GA 31201.
