MRS. DEBRA SUE ANDERSON SCHUUR, age 73, of Perry, GA, and formerly of Rhine died Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Brightmoor Hospice in Macon.

 Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, September 16, at Hopewell Baptist Church, with Rev. Roswell Chapman and Rev. Daniel Cook officiating, with interment in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.

 Sue was born on August 2, 1953, in Cartersville, GA and was of the Baptist faith. She spent most of her formative years in Rhine before moving to Tucker, GA in 1966, where she was a 1971 graduate of Berkmar High School in Lilburn. Sue was married for thirteen years and lived in Cleveland, Ohio, where she made many special friendships, before returning to Georgia. Sue worked for Kem Manufacturing in Tucker and later for many years at Shell Oil Company in Atlanta before moving to Nashville, TN where she was the cash flow manager for American Home Patient until her retirement in 2016. After her career, she moved back home to Rhine to take care of her mother and later was the caretaker for her beloved Aunt Maggie Pittman. In 2020, she bought a house in Perry, GA and lived in Houston County for the past six years. Sue was an excellent cook and loved good food. She enjoyed watching Georgia Bulldogs football games, listening to all kinds of music, traveling, and reading. Above all she loved her family dearly and took special care of them and was affectionately known as “Sarge” to those closest to her. Sue was the daughter of the late Nell Walker Anderson and William H. “Dub” Anderson and was preceded in death by her aunts and uncles, Mary and Tom Anderson, Billy and Florene Walker, Maggie and R.L. Pittman, and Girlie and Monk Anderson.

 She is survived by her Sisters – Pam Balenger (Hut) of Lula, GA and Becky Landers (Tim) of Gainesville, GA; Brothers – Larry Anderson (Gail) of Rhine, GA, Ronnie Anderson of Raysville, GA, and Jimmy Anderson (Lisa) of Pembroke, GA; Nieces and Nephews – Brooke Burch (Andrew), Caroline Runkle (Matt), Will Landers, Zeb Anderson (Tracy), Gwen Cagle (Jason), Kaden Jenkins, Cody Anderson (Haley), Naomi McRae (Hunter), Lacy Coffee, and Angel Balenger; Several Great-Nieces and Nephews; Aunts and Uncles – Roy and Sheila Anderson of Rhine, GA, Jean Coody of Kathleen, GA, and Faye Williams of Suwanee, GA; Numerous cousins including a beloved and special cousin, Catreece Fritts of Kathleen, GA.

 The family will receive friends in Hopewell Baptist Church from 1:00PM-2:00PM Wednesday, September 16. In addition to flowers the family request contributions to Hopewell Baptist Church, in care of Roy and Sheila Anderson, 109 Reaves Street, Rhine, GA 31077.
