MR. JOSEPH STEVE WESTON, age 73, of Eastman, GA, died Monday, February 3, 2020 at Dodge County Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, February 4, at Bowen Cemetery, with Pastor Dahl McDermitt Jr. officiating.
Mr. Weston was born in Dawson, GA, of the Christian Faith, a graduate of Montgomery County High School, and was a Vietnam Veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a lifelong farmer and a department manager for Wal-Mart in Eastman for over 18 years. Steve enjoyed fishing, farming, and spending time with his family. He was son of the late Mary Alice Newberry Weston and Steve Ross Weston and was preceded in death by 2 Sons, Tim Weston and Jason Weston, Grandson, Robbie Chick, Great-Grandson, Zachary Dean Smith-Chick, and 3 Siblings, Minnie Corbin, Ricky Weston, and Bobby Newberry.
Survivors: Son – Shannon Weston (Shala) of Chauncey; Daughter – Amanda Chick (Robert) of Eastman; 7 Grandchildren – Brandie Chick, T.J. Chick, Aron Chick (Marie Cantenot), Kelby Crawford (Magan), Lane Crummey (Brianna), Lindsey Crummey (Lance Pruett), and Landin Crummey; 5 Great-Grandchildren – Makayla Chick, Molly Chick, Beau Chick, Hunter Crawford, and Savannah Crawford; 2 Sisters – Linda Kennedy (Winton) of Glennville and Starlette Thomas (Danny) of Macon; Brother-in-law – Lucian Corbin of Vidalia; Several Nieces and Nephews.
The family may be contacted at the Weston residence, 3114 Abbeville Hwy, Eastman, and will receive friends in Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home from 12:30PM-1:30PM Tuesday, February 4.
