MR. STANLEY LOUIS COLLINS, age 73, of Eastman, GA, passed away surrounded by his family on August 9, 2026, at Fairview Park Hospital.
MR. STANLEY LOUIS COLLINS, age 73, of Eastman, GA, passed away surrounded by his family on August 9, 2026, at Fairview Park Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, August 12, at Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church, with Rev. Doug Studdard officiating, with interment in Bowers Cemetery.
Stanley was born in McRae, GA on July 24, 1953, to the late Henry Thomas Collins and Winifred Pipkin Collins. He was a lifelong resident of Eastman, a 1971 graduate of Dodge County High School, and joined the Army National Guard, before transferring to the Air Force Reserves in 1975. He married his sweetheart, Delbra Pruitt. The two embarked on a wonderful journey together and were blessed along the way with two sons, Erik and Kurt. Stanley worked several jobs throughout his younger years including at Buck’s Restaurant, Stuckey’s Inc., and Blue Bird Body Company. He later began a 30 plus years career at Robins AFB, where he retired in the late 2010s.
He was a dedicated husband, and a loving father and grandfather, who enjoyed hunting, gardening, camping, and golfing. He loved being outdoors, worshiping his Lord and Savior with his family and church family at Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be forever missed and was a true man of God.
In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by his grandparents, Millard Collins and Annie Lou Johns Collins, stepmother, Willodene Sikes Collins, and sisters, Denise Westbrook and LaWanda Collins.
He is survived by his Wife of 51 years – Delbra Pruitt Collins of Eastman; Sons – Erik Collins (Kerri) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Kurt Collins (Kaye) of Eastman; Grandchildren – Jonas Collins, Anslee Collins, Hannah Collins, Kaylei Collins, and Keaton Collins; Sister – Robin Parkerson (Ken) of Macon; Brother – Riska Collins (Sue) of Eastman; Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law – Emory Clyntis Pruitt (Sue) of Perry, Patricia Hare (Cliff) of Jacksonville, FL, and Wanda Graham (Michael), of Eastman; Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members; Aunts and Uncles – Brenda Beasley, Frances Beasley, and Ronnie Sikes (Janie), all of Metter.
The family may be contacted at the Collins residence, 40 Kirton Avenue, Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, August 11 from 6:00PM-8:00PM.
