MRS. SHIRLEY PHILLIPS WILLIAMS, age 82, of Eastman, GA, died Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville, GA.

 Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, December 3, at Sweet Home Baptist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Jeffrey Wyatt officiating.

 Shirley was born and raised in the Yonkers community of Dodge County and attended school in the Roddy and Chester communities. She was a dedicated member of Lovely Grove Baptist Church, a former seamstress for over 25 years for C & J Manufacturing, and a former employee for Sara Lee Knit Products. She was a genuinely nice and sweet person to everyone she met. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, working, in her yard, and volunteering with Meals on Wheels. Shirley was the daughter of the late Gladys West Phillips and Frank Phillips and was preceded in death by her Husband, Jimmy “Snag” Williams, and 2 Brothers-in-law, Wilbur “Red” Dix and Alvin Belflower.

 She is survived by her Daughter – Julie Williams Martin (Colby) of Pineview; 2 Sons – Carroll Williams (Jan) of Vidalia and David Williams of Eastman; 5 Grandchildren – James Williams (Kayleen) of Newburg, OR, Jena Barber (James) of Bishop, Shannon Williams of Alma, Jessie Carter (Eric) of Vidalia, and Justin McLeod of Cochran; 6 Great-Grandchildren – Jillian Williams, James Williams, III, Ryleigh Gonzales, Madeline Barber, James Barber, IV, and Graham Carter; 2 Sisters – Frances Dix of Empire and Susan Belflower of Yonkers; Brother – James “Buddy” Phillips (Peggy) of Empire; Several Nieces and Nephews.

 The family will receive friends at Sweet Home Baptist Church Cemetery from 10:30AM-11:00AM Saturday, December 3. In addition to flowers, the family request contributions to the Gideons International Bible Fund.
