MRS. SHEILA ELIZABETH YAWN CLEMENTS, age 73, of Chauncey, GA, died Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at her son’s residence in Guyton, GA.

 Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, October 10, at Southerland Funeral Chapel in Eastman, with Rev. Stephen Upchurch and Rev. Billy Baker officiating with interment in Milan City Cemetery.

 Mrs. Clements was born in Eastman, GA and raised in Milan and was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church. She was a 1966 graduate of Telfair County High School and married shortly after moving with her husband to Conyers, GA where they began their family. After seven years the family moved back to Eastman, GA and in 1983 she graduated from Middle Georgia College with an Associates Degree in Nursing. Later that year she began her career as a Registered Nurse with Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, GA where she would work for 35 years before retiring in 2019. Sheila was a dedicated wife and a loving mother and Nana, which she was affectionately called by her grandchildren. She attended Chauncey Baptist Church for many years and in the past several years attended Pinora Baptist Church in Guyton, during her time living at her son’s residence there. She enjoyed raising her family and gardening through the years and watching television, especially Atlanta Braves Baseball games. She was the daughter of the late Artis Yawn and Eva Walker Yawn and was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Wayne Clements.  

 She is survived by her 2 Sons – Frank Clements (Angie) of Guyton and Jason Clements of Chauncey; Daughter-in-law – Marcie Hunter (Stuart) of Rhine; 5 Grandchildren – Austin Clements, Ryan Clements, Chance Thames, Cole Clements, and Andy Clements; Brother – Allen Yawn (Rene) of Cochran; Nieces and Nephews – Matt Yawn (Lindsey), Justin Yawn (Emily), Garrett Yawn, and Sherri Perry; Several great nieces and nephews.

 The family will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 1:00PM – 2:00PM Sunday, October 10. In addition to flowers, Mrs. Clements request contributions to Chauncey Baptist Church, 27 Bussy Street, Chauncey, GA 31011.
