MRS. SARAH ELLEN BURCH PEZOLD, age 69, of Eastman, GA, died Sunday, January 27, 2019 at her residence.

    Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, January 31, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Andy Brownley officiating, with interment in Burch Family Cemetery.

    Sarah was born in Dublin, a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church, a graduate of Laurens County High School, and graduated secretarial school at Middle Georgia College.  She was a former bookkeeper at Graham and Barrentine CPA in Dublin, an employee of Silver Edge Manufacturing  in Dublin, a former employee at DACI of Dublin, a secretary and paraprofessional for the Laurens County Board of Education, and a former bookkeeper for McDonald’s.  Sarah was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister who enjoyed making ceramics, cookout gatherings, traveling and being with her family, her nieces and her nephews, and was affectionately known by her family as “Aunt Tom”.  She showed amazing resilience, strength, and courage and always made others laugh and smile throughout her entire life.  She was preceded in death by her Father, Joseph Lewis Burch, an Infant Baby Sister, and her favorite canine companion, Dakota.

    Survivors:  Husband of 40 years – Tom Pezold of Eastman;  2 Daughters – Mindy Evans (Paige Pittman) of Stone Mountain and Jennifer Campbell (Robert) of Wilmington Island, GA;  Mother – Ellen Walker Burch Phagan (Dewitt) of Eastman;  Sister – Rebecca Moore (Ollie B.) of Cedar Grove;  Brother – Joe Burch (Sandra) of Cedar Grove;  Sister-in-Law – Celine Livingston;  5 Brothers-in-Law – Fred Pezold (Loretta), Bill Pezold (Sandi), Jack Pezold (JoRhee), Ralph Pezold (Nancy), and George Seibles;  Numerous Nieces and Nephews including – Chad Burch, Ashley Burch, Dana Moore, Susan Moore, and Jeffrey Moore (Rachel);  Numerous Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews including – C.J. Burch, Savannah Burch, Madison Moore, and Makenzie Moore;  Faithful Canine Companion – Bailey.

    The family may be contacted at the Pezold residence, 1352 Hawkinsville Hwy., Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 12:30PM-2:00PM Thursday, January 31.  In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, 6520 North Andrews Avenue, Ft.
