MR. JAMES RUSSELL HARDEMAN, age 84, of Eastman, GA, died Friday, October 1, 2021, at his residence.

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, October 5, at Fair Haven Baptist Church, with Dr. Jarrett Burch and Mr. Gary Ryals officiating, with interment in Fair Haven Baptist Church Cemetery.

 Russell was a lifelong resident of Dodge County and worked for several years with his family in his younger years as a sharecropper. He was a member and deacon of Fair Haven Baptist Church and worked for over 42 years for Rayonier where he performed several different jobs. He was a natural outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in his yard. Russell also enjoyed helping other people and would cut grass for others in the community. He also worked for many years as a small engine repairman and was a master mechanic. He loved going on trips with his family, especially to the mountains and the beach. Russell was the son of the late Annie Bell Phillips Hardeman and Charlie Hardeman and was preceded in death by 4 Siblings, Odford Hardeman, Pete Hardeman, Annie Fuller, and Birder Spinks, a Sister-in-law, Annette Dixon, and Brother-in-law, William “Bug” Ryals.

 He is survived by his Wife of 59 years – Janette Ryals Hardeman of Eastman; Daughter – Joy H. Ray (Owen) of Jacksonville, GA; 2 Sons – Jack Hardeman (Vicky) and Jamie Hardeman (Marie), both of Eastman; Adopted Son – Jim Fuller of Minter, GA; 9 Grandchildren – Jessica H. Johnson (Patrick), Michael McCormick, Chris McCormick (Jennifer), Jacy Hardeman, Joni Hardeman, Jamielyn Hardeman, Russ Ray, Riley Ray, and Tuck Ray; 3 Adopted Grandchildren – Brittany Dunlap (Brent), Joey Fuller (Rachael), and Landon Fuller; Great-Grandson – Jackson McCormick; Brother – Charles Hardeman (Bobbie) of Eastman; Sisters-in-law and Brothers-in-law – Lillian Purvis (Clinton), Dennis Dixon, Dale Hulett, Thomas E. “Tommy” Ryals, Bobby Joe Ryals (Lutricia), Gary Ryals (Cecelia), Bernice Ryals, and Mary Hardeman; Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

 The family may be contacted at the Hardeman residence, 1581 Mt. Olive Church Rd., Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 6:00PM-8:00PM Monday, October 4.
