MRS. RUDENE PEACOCK WRIGHT, age 67, of Eastman, GA, died Saturday, August 14, 2021, at the Dodge County Hospital.
MRS. RUDENE PEACOCK WRIGHT, age 67, of Eastman, GA, died Saturday, August 14, 2021, at the Dodge County Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Wednesday, August 18, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Jay Thornton officiating, with interment in Vilula Baptist Church Cemetery.
Rudene was a lifelong resident of Eastman, a member of Grace Baptist Church, and a graduate of Dodge County High School. She worked as a textile worker and fabric stamper from the late 1970s to the mid-1980s for Weaver’s Manufacturing and she was a manager for Eastman Garden Apartments from the mid-1980s until her retirement in the late 1990s. She enjoyed listening to music, especially county and old rock music, watching television, shopping on QVC, and feeding and watching hummingbirds. Rudene also enjoyed spending time with her family and the time she got to spend with her grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late Ruby Cadwell Peacock and Wilmer Peacock, and was preceded in death by her Former Husband, Tommy Wright, Jr., Daughter, Candice Wright, and 7 Siblings, Jimmy Ray Peacock, Willie Peacock, Donnie Peacock, Robin Parker, Rhonda Brown, Wesley Peacock, and an Infant Sister, and a Nephew, Billy Peacock.
She is survived by her Daughter – Patience Wright-Burnham (Eric) of Eastman; 3 Grandchildren – Erica Howell (Kyle) of Eastman, Niki Braswell (Cody) of Chester, and Jonathan Wright (Alicia) of Eastman; 7 Great-Grandchildren – Cammie Wright, Waik Wright, Kale Howell, Kaleb Howell, Kaden Howell, Paislee Braswell, and Adalynn Braswell; Sister-in-law – Barbara O’Barr (Larry) of Eastman; 2 Brothers-in-law – Ronnie Wright (Betty Jo) and Gary Wright (Dianne) both of Eastman; Nieces and Nephews – Tonya Parkerson (Fess), Amanda Wilkerson, Karen Davis (John), Johnny Parker, Scotty Peacock, Donna Peacock, Melissa Hart, Ashley Ruger (Misty), Gina Wright, Steve Helms (Lindy), Roy Helms (Phyllis), Misty Harrell (Richard), William Dunlap (Catharine), Tinker Benton, and Becky Moore; Numerous Cousins and Friends.
The family may be contacted at the Wright residence, 976 Oak Forest Drive, Eastman, and will receive friends in Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home from 6:00PM-8:00PM Tuesday, August 17.
