MRS. ROSIE MAE HENDRIX ROLAND, age 89, of Eastman, GA, died Saturday, April 4, 2020 at McRae Manor Nursing Home.

 Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, April 7, at Parkerson Baptist Church Cemetery, with Mr. Gary Ryals and Mr. John Dykes officiating.

 Rosie was a lifelong resident of Eastman, a member of Grace Baptist Church, a former seamstress for C & J Manufacturing for many years, and a homemaker. She helped as a volunteer with Meals On Wheels for many years and was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, dipping snuff, shrimping, and trips to the beach. Rosie was the daughter of the late Ethel Smith Hendrix and General Hendrix, widow of Marvin J. Roland, and was preceded in death by 2 Children, Roy Calvin Roland and Shirley Mae Amerson, Grandchildren, Chuckie Amerson, Shaun Amerson, Edward Burch, and Shanalea Salaz, and 5 Siblings, Jerry Hendrix, Jack Hendrix, Julius Hendrix, Merita Hendrix Forbes-Mullis, J.D. Hendrix, and Lillie Mae Hendrix.

 She is survived by 5 Daughters – Janie Dykes of McRae, Wanda Allen (Donnie) of Dublin, Joyce Taylor (George) of Gordon, Elaine Clark (Donald) of Alamo, and Melinda Roland-McCranie (Chuck) of Chester; 15 Grandchildren – John Dykes, Charlotte Gomez, Robert Dykes, Keith Dykes, Vickie Mills, Rosanna Buck, David Roland, Tina Umbao, Dusty Beck, Danny Barber, Mindy Roland, Chris Taylor, Zach Taylor, Crystal Clark-Allen, and Ramsey Clark; Numerous Great-Grandchildren; Several Great-Great-Grandchildren; 3 Sisters – Barbara Hendrix Coggins (David) of Perry, Patricia Hendrix Widener of Cochran, and Velma Hendrix Morris of Macon; 2 Brothers – Joel Hendrix (Bobbie Jo) of Atlanta and Jimmy Hendrix (Joann) of Bolingbrook; Sister-in-law – Julianne Usher; Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

 In addition to flowers, the family request contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
