RODNEY LYNN JONES, age 58, of Milan, GA, died Saturday, November 16, 2019 in North Carolina, as the result of an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, November 21, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Quint Shepherd, Sister Margaret Arthur, Sister Thelma Norris, and Rev. Phil Wallace officiating, with interment in the Jones Family Cemetery in Milan.
Rodney was born in Macon, of the Holiness faith, former co-owner and operator of Quality Saw Works in Milan, owner and operator of The Re-Sharp Man Bandsaws for over 10 years, and was a saw repair technician for over 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, gardening, listening to music, and riding his motorcycle. He was preceded in death by his Wife of 22 years, Erica Stapleton Jones, Father, Jack C. Jones and Step-Father, Jimmy Taylor.
Survivors: Children – Marla Jones Wahl (Brian) of Chauncey, Felicia Jones Howell (David) of Eastman, Elizabeth “Liz” Jones of Milan, Alfred Jones of Chauncey, and Michael Stapleton of Milan; 6 Grandchildren – Camden Wahl, Raelei Fletcher, Breanna Howell, Tucker Howell, Ella Jones, and Jenson Jones; Mother – Carolyn Elliott Taylor of Eastman; Sisters and Brothers – Angie Jones, Michelle Graham (Walt) both of Eastman, Ashley Jones of Griffin, Randy Jones (Teresa), Ricky Jones (Irene) both of Milan, and Rusty Jones (Alyssa) of Eastman; Step-Sisters and Step-Brother – Donna Taylor of Chauncey, Amy Taylor of Eastman, and Todd Taylor (Tracy) of Hawkinsville; Mother-in-Law – Vikki Stevenson Stapleton of Milan; Several Aunts and Uncles; Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.
The family may be contacted at the Jones residence 104 Jack Jones Rd., Milan, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 5:00PM-7:00PM Wednesday, November 20.
