MR. ROGER B. “ROCKY” YAWN, JR., age 69, of Milan, GA, died Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta, GA.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, January 13, at El Bethel Baptist Church, with Rev. Jason Williams officiating.
Rocky was born in McRae, GA, a member of El Bethel Baptist Church in Milan, GA, and attended Dodge County High School. He worked for Dodge Heating and Air as an electrician for over 30 years. He was a dedicated father, grandfather, and brother who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching NASCAR racing and football on T.V. He enjoyed taking care of his family and his animals. Rocky was the son of the late Carolyn Pruett Yawn and Roger B. Yawn, Sr., and was preceded in death by his Sister, Gail Yawn Williams and his Brother, Eric P. Yawn.
He is survived by his 3 Daughters – Jennifer Yawn Antonucci of Naples, FL, Krystal Powell of Albany, GA, and Michelle Partin of Hazlehurst, GA; 2 Sons – Jamie Yawn and Corey Yawn, both of Milan; 13 Grandchildren – Tray Yawn, Sunnie Yawn, Austin Yawn, Jamie Yawn, Jr., Savannah Yawn, LaShaun Suominen (Brenden), McKenzie Hartley, Marissa Antonucci, Melissa Antonucci, Kasey Rentz, Hailey Partin, Cheltsey Partin, and Bryston Partin; Several Great-Grandchildren; Sister – Rita Yawn Voll of Jacksonville, FL; Brother – Joey Yawn (Teresa) of Chauncey, GA; Sister-in-law – Martha L. Yawn of McRae; Several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.
