Obituary for Robin Ellis

MS. ROBIN NOLEEN ELLIS, age 53, of Chester, GA, died Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Community Hospice in Vidalia, GA.

 A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, September 23, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Daniel Walker officiating.

 Robin was born in Marietta, GA and later moved to Orlando, FL with her family. She graduated from Oakridge High School in Orlando, FL. After high school, she moved to Fitzgerald, GA before later moving to Chester, GA. She was a hardworking single mother who worked numerous jobs over the years to provide for her children. She worked at Craig Auto Sales in McRae, GA for over ten years before working at Husqvarna in McRae, GA for several years as an inspector. While working full-time, she earned her associate degree in business administration, and later went to work at Mondi in Eastman, GA, for several years as a Quality Control Inspector Supervisor. Robin was of the Christian Faith, loved spending time with her family and spoiling her grandbabies, and watching crime dramas. She was the daughter of the late Robert Noel Ellis and Lottie Olena Lofton and was preceded in death by the Mother who raised her, Annie Ellis.

 She is survived by her Daughter – Ashley Hayes of Alamo; Son – Craig and Miranda Hayes of Chester; 2 Granddaughters – Lydia Phillips and Charlie Phillips; Sister – Cyndi Ellis Godfrey of Indiana; Brother – Duane Ellis of Fitzgerald; Several Nieces and Nephews.

 The family will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 10:00AM-11:00AM Saturday, September 23.
