MR. ROBERT HENRY WEBB, age 78, of Eastman, GA, formerly of Abbeville, GA, died on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Memorial University Hospital in Savannah, GA.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, March 30, at Plainfield Baptist Church, with Rev. Tim Tanner officiating.
Robert was born on September 12, 1946, and raised in Macon, GA. He was a graduate of Lanier High School, a former member of the Army National Guard for over ten years and was a telecommunications lineman for over 50 years for Bellsouth, AT&T, and Comsouth, before retiring in 2006. He was the owner and operator of Webb’s Mower Repair in Abbeville, GA, where he lived for many years. He also served as a former council member of the Abbeville City Council for several years. In 2014, he married his wife, Kathryn, and moved to Eastman, GA, where he lived many happy and wonderful years. Robert was a former member and deacon of Cannonville Baptist Church in Abbeville, GA and later moved his membership to Plainfield Baptist Church in Eastman, GA. He was a dedicated husband, and a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, brother, and uncle who was affectionately known as “Pops” to his family. He loved going to the mountains, tinkering and working as a mechanic, racing, and spending time with his family and friends. Robert was the son of the late Martha Marshall Webb and Ira Burrell Webb, and was preceded in death by his Wife of over 30 years, Ann Sheffield Webb, Son-in-law, Dan Reynolds, and Great-Grandson, Kenneth Pace.
He is survived by his Wife of 11 years – Kathryn M. Perry Webb of Eastman, GA; Daughter – Wendy Webb Brown (Tony) of Eastman, GA; Children – Lora Lynn Reynolds of Warner Robins, GA, Mark Jones (Starla) of West Memphis, AR, Neicy Patterson of Eastman, GA, and Kristen Warnock of Dublin, GA; Grandchildren – Brittany Screws (Taylor), Robert Brown, Ricky Ray (April), Shane Ray, Whitney Pace, William Pace (Charity), Harliee Henderson (Devin), Preston Hodge, and Kolt Amerson; Great-Grandchildren – Jasmine Screws, Kinsley Williams, Kennedi Williams, Bo Henderson, Briggs Henderson, Hannah Ray, Isabelle Ray, Shelby Ray, and Chandler Ray; Siblings – Betty Webb Vaughn (Billy) and Richard Webb (Peggy), both of Macon, GA; Sister-in-law – Tonya Andrews (Shannon); Several Nieces and Nephews.
