MR. RICHARD “BOBO” EVANS, age 54, of Eastman, GA, died Monday, May 29, 2023, at Dodge County Hospital.

 A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, June 1, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Joey Bohannon officiating.

 Richard was born in New London, CT, and lived in several places during his childhood before settling in Florida. He moved back to Connecticut during his teenage years and attended Fitch High School before later moving to Georgia. He worked several jobs over the years before finding his home with Watkins Trucking Company, where he worked as a truck driver for over twenty years. He loved his time working for Watkins Trucking and being an extended part of the Watkins family. Richard attended Sand Grove Baptist Church in Milan and was a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend to many. He was known as “Bobo” to his friends and by “Dickey” to his family. He enjoyed operating mechanical equipment, tractors, excavators, and the like. He was a family man who enjoyed going on cruises, being outdoors, and just life itself. Richard was preceded in death by his Mother, Marilyn L. Miller Mullis.

 He is survived by his Father and Step-Mother – Henry and Sylvia Millwood Evans, both of Eastman; Sisters – Pauline Johnson (Tim) of Eastman, Susan Logindis (Harry) of Old Lime, CT, Rebecca Marczesky-Lakin of Anchorage, AK, Jennifer Williams of Eastman, Jeanine Williams Tompkins (Jason) of Jacksonville, GA, Connie Hamrick (George), and Tina Wagner (Brian), both of Missouri; Brothers – Paul Evans, Donnie Evans (Mandy), and John Evans (Selena Manning), all of Eastman; Aunt and Uncle – Sue Thomas of Eastman and Jerry Miller of Waterford, ME; Several Nieces and Nephews; Numerous Cousins and Friends; Special Extended Family Members – Jay, Laura, Terry, Donna, and the whole Watkins family.

 The family may be contacted at the residence of Mandy Evans, 73 Daisy Lane, Eastman, and may be contacted through his Brother, John, at 229-315-2480. The family will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 1:30PM-2:00PM Thursday, June 1.
