REV. WILLIAM HARRIS “BILLY” VAUGHN, age 87, of Eastman, GA, died Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Dogwood Gardens.

 Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, November 21, at Eastman First Baptist Church, with Rev. Clay Layfield and Rev. Todd Crosby officiating, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.

 Rev. Vaughn was born in Pulaski County, a member of Eastman First Baptist Church, a graduate of Mercer University, and a retired Baptist Minister for over 52 years. Billy also worked as a life insurance agent for Liberty National Life Insurance Company for over 32 years and as a purchasing agent for Stuckey’s, Inc. for over 10 years. After retirement he continued to serve the Lord as the Sunday school teacher of the Proclaimers Sunday School Class at Eastman FBC. Rev. Vaughn was a dedicated husband of 43 years, a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather and a friend to many. He was an avid reader and a talented artist, and most importantly a dedicated proclaimer of Christ and lived his entire life serving the Lord. He was the son of the late Mary Jane Smith Vaughn and Jesse E. Vaughn, widower of Merrell Brown Vaughn, and was preceded in death by a Sister, Mary Ann Foust.

 He is survived by his 2 Sons – William Keith Vaughn (Lisa) of Milledgeville and Kenneth Jesse Vaughn (Launa) of Frisco, TX; 4 Grandchildren – Sarai Baugh (Nathan) and Rebekah Hollinshead (Clate) of Milledgeville, Elizabeth Stephens (Chris), and Jesse Vaughn, both of Frisco, TX; 5 Great-Grandchildren – Benjamin Vaughn, Bryce Baugh, Mason Stephens, Sawyer Stephens, and Blakely Hollinshead; Sister – Vivian Crooms (Jimmy) of Milledgeville; Brother-in-law – Mike Foust of Genoa, NV; Several Nieces and Nephews.

 The family will receive friends in Eastman First Baptist Church from 2:00-3:00PM Sunday, November 21. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to Gideons International Bible Fund and Eastman First Baptist Church, 5107 Oak St, Eastman, GA 31023.
