MRS. REBA ELIZABETH PARKERSON COOK, age 89, of Eastman, GA, died Friday, January 7, 2022, at Hazel Colson Hospice House in Perry.

 Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Monday, January 10, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Myron Parkerson and Rev. Larry Mullis officiating, with interment in Bay Springs Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.

 Mrs. Cook was born and raised in Eastman and was a graduate of Dodge High School. After high school she graduated from secretarial school and went to work at Harrell Canning Company in the early 1950s. She married in 1954 and began her family and continued to work at Harrell Canning Company for many years. She later worked at Stuckey’s Inc. in accounts receivables for over 20 years before retiring in the mid-1990s. She was a member of Bay Springs Freewill Baptist Church for many years before joining First Freewill Baptist Church in the 1990s. Mrs. Cook was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who loved cooking and reading her Bible daily. She was a Christian lady who took great care of her family. Reba was the daughter of the late H. Manning Parkerson and Annie Evers Parkerson and widow of the late Ernest Waldo Cook. She was preceded in death by her sister, Norma Jean Parkerson Wynn.

 She is survived by her Daughter – Lisa Cook Yee (Dennis) of Woodstock; 3 Sons – Ricky Cook of Warner Robins, David Cook of Byron, and Kevin Cook (Mi Hye) of Belleville, IL;

6 Grandchildren – Benjamin Yee of Woodstock, Eve Yee of Woodstock, Ashley Green (Kenneth) of Fort Valley, Michael Cook of Lexington, KY, Jaimi Cook of Shiloh, IL, and Molly Cook of Shiloh, IL; 3 Brothers-in-law – Wilton Cook, Billy Cook (Dolores), and Victor Andrews; Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

 The family will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 12:30PM-2:00PM, Monday, January 10. In addition to flowers contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.
