MR. ANDREW RAY SHEFFIELD, age 75, of Eastman, GA, died Saturday, April 6, 2019 at his residence.

 Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, April 13, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Myron Parkerson and Mr. Greg Farmer officiating, with interment in Parkerson Baptist Church Cemetery.

 Ray was a lifelong resident of Dodge County, a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church, and a self employed lifelong mechanic where he served the public through his knowledge of diesel and auto mechanic. His father was injured during his childhood and he left high school and became the family provider, and returned later in 1994 where he graduated from Dodge County High School. He was a former member of the Georgia National Guard for over 6 years, co-owner and operator of Sheffield Lawn Mower Repair for many years, and worked for over 22 years with the Dodge County Road Department as a diesel mechanic and shop foreman. He enjoyed and took pride in his work, he enjoyed spending time with his family, children, and grandchildren, and he enjoyed gardening, fishing, and talking and helping his friends. Ray was son of the late Vena Allen Sheffield and John J. Sheffield and was preceded in death by a Sister, Carolyn S. Spears and Brother, J.R. Sheffield.

 Survivors: Wife of 53 years – Gloria Jean Taylor Sheffield of Eastman; 2 Daughters – Kerry S. Fussell (Tracy) of McRae and Nancy S. Bass (Chris) of Eastman; 2 Sons – Raymond Sheffield of Locust Grove and Barney Sheffield of Eastman; 6 Grandchildren – Andrew Fussell, Justin Fussell, John Sheffield, Tristan Bass, Archer Bass, and Brooke Lewis (Justin); 2 Great-Grandchildren – Jayse Lewis and Judd Lewis; 3 Sisters – Frances Quarrels of Little Rock, AR, Linda Wyre (Carrell) of Macon, and Jean Brown (Tommy) of McRae; 3 Brothers – Ralph Sheffield (Kathy) of Knoxville, TN, Herman Sheffield (Irene) of Eastman, and Randy Sheffield (Shelia) of Orange Park, FL; Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

 The family may be contacted at the Sheffield residence, 1665 S.C. Cadwell Rd., Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 6:00PM-8:00PM Friday, April 12. In lieu of flowers, please contact the family at 229-860-1454.
