MR. WALTER RAY OZMORE, age 77, of Rentz, GA, died Monday, March 4, 2019 at Southland Healthcare in Dublin.
MR. WALTER RAY OZMORE, age 77, of Rentz, GA, died Monday, March 4, 2019 at Southland Healthcare in Dublin.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30PM Wednesday, March 6, at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville with Rev. Arnold Rye officiating.
Mr. Ozmore was born in Cairo, GA, of the Christian faith, a 1959 graduate of Warner Robins High School, and received an Associates of Science degree from Macon Junior College in 1985. He was a 20 year retired United States Marine Corps MSGT and a retired Robins AFB Civil Service employee. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, and trips to the mountains. Ray was son of the late Elizabeth Nix Ozmore Tucker and Walter M. Ozmore and was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Sheila Cummins and Judy Micik.
Survivors: Wife – Gwen Bass Ozmore of Rentz; 2 Daughters – Amanda Cooley (Chad) and Katrina King (Rodney), both of Eastman; 5 Grandchildren – Kennah Cooley, Megan Wright, Gracie Wright, Ryan Wright and Wyatt King; 1 Brother – Dwight Ozmore of Florida; Faithful Canine Companions – Mickey, Maggie and Ollie.
The family may be contacted at the residence of Amanda and Chad Cooley, 2475 Antioch Church Road, Eastman and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 10:00AM-11:00AM Wednesday, March 6.
