MR. RALPH EUGENE WRIGHT, age 74, of Eastman, Georgia, died Thursday, July 25, 2019 at his residence.

 Memorial services will be held on Sunday, July 28 at 2:00PM at The Eastman First United Methodist Church, 5324 Anson Avenue, Eastman, Georgia, with Rev. Ted Goshorn officiating. A time of visitation will follow in the Church Fellowship Hall.

 Mr. Wright was born on September 7, 1944 in Eastman, Georgia. He was a graduate of Dodge County High School and Georgia Southern University. He spent over 40 years working in the garment industry beginning his career with Charles Greenberg & Sons and retiring from the Georgia Department of Corrections, where he was beloved by both staff and inmates alike.  He was a member of Eastman First United Methodist Church since 1980. His church family remembers him for his many years of service, which include being a member of the Open Door Sunday School Class, Methodist Men, the Administrative Board, as Sunday School Secretary, and operating the sound system for the early service. He had perfect attendance at Sunday School for over 27 consecutive years, until progressively deteriorating health precluded attendance.  A resident of Eastman since 1944, he is preceded in death by his parents, the late Leroy and Minnie Joiner Wright. 

He is survived by his wife of over 44 years, Mickey Annis Wright of Eastman, Georgia; Daughter, Wendy (Harry) Coe, of Tampa, Florida; Granddaughters, Isabella Rose and Georgia Grace Coe, of Tampa, Florida; Sister, Lodie (Franklin) Johnson of Hawkinsville, Georgia; Sister, Ruby King and Brother, Marvin Earl (Mary) Wright, both of Eastman, Georgia; Sister-in-law, Vivian Phillips of Bloxom, Virginia; Brother-in-law, M.H. Annis of Bloxom, Virginia; as well as several Nieces and Nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to The Methodist Home for Children & Youth, 304 Pierce Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31204 or to the donor’s favorite charity.
