Obituary for Pryor L. Howard

MR. PRYOR L. HOWARD, III, age 71, of Cochran, GA, died Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Atrium Navicent Health in Macon, GA.

 It was Pryor’s wishes to be laid to rest with his parents at Rogers Cemetery in the Yonkers Community of Dodge County.

 He was the son of the late Louise Crews Howard and P.L. Howard, Jr.

 Pryor was born in Selma, AL, while his mother was living with her parents as his father served his country as a pilot during the Korean War. The family later moved to Eastman, GA in the late 1950s. He graduated from Dodge County High School and he later attended Abraham Balwin Agricultural College in Tifton, GA. He worked for many years as a USPS rural mail carrier and also worked as a correctional officer for Dodge State Prison in Chester, GA. Pryor was a beloved son. He loved Georgia Bulldogs football and enjoyed weekend trips of offroad Jeep riding adventures.

 He is survived by his Former Wife – Coni Barrs Howard of Ohatchee, AL; Step-Son – Tim Lord (Tracy) of Ohatchee, AL; Sisters – Luci H. Driscoll (Dale) of Winston Salem, NC and Anita H. Keidel (Dan) of Auburn, AL; Numerous Cousins and Friends.
