PASTOR TERRY DEAN TRIBBLE, age 64, of Mauk, GA, formerly of Eastman, GA, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, January 11, 2021 at the Houston County Medical Center in Warner Robins.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, January 14, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. William Smith and Rev. Roy Woods officiating, with interment in Mt. Ararat Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family request masks be worn, and social distancing be practiced during processions.
Terry was born in Eastman, a 1974 graduate of Telfair County High School, a former employee of Foster Farming Supply in McRae and Eastman Equipment Company for several years, and farmed for several years with Walker Farms in Rhine. He served as the youth pastor at Mt. Ararat Freewill Baptist Church for several years before answering the call to serve as the full time pastor from May 2001 until his passing at Trinity Freewill Baptist Church in Mauk, GA. Terry was the type of man who never met a stranger and enjoyed spending time with his church family. He loved to go fishing and making people laugh, but more importantly he made it his mission to be a true servant of the Lord. He was preceded in death by a Daughter, Heather Tribble, Father, Floyd Tribble, Mother-in-law, Berdena Sheffield, and several siblings.
He is survived by his Wife of 45 years – Delois Brown Tribble of Mauk, GA; Son – T.J. Tribble of Alamo; Daughter – Rebecca Tribble of Mauk; 5 Grandchildren – Hunter Tribble, Sarah Tribble, Layla Finch, Brody Finch, and Kaden Roberts; Mother – Carolyn Settles (Richard) of Hazlehurst; Step-Mother – Wilma Conner of Workmore, GA; 3 Sisters – Elaine Settles of Hazlehurst, Mandy Tribble of Warner Robins, and Tracy Hulett of McRae; 2 Brothers – Tim Tribble (Rene) of Vidalia and Alex Settles of Hazlehurst; 3 Sisters-in-law – Mary Frances Black, Ann Hardin, and Shirley Hardin; Several Nieces and Nephews.
The family may be contacted at the residence of Ann Hardin, 2219 Chauncey-Rhine Hwy., Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 1:00PM-2:00PM Thursday, January 14.
