MRS. OPAL HOWELL TRIPP-RHODES, age 94, of Eastman, GA, died Monday, November 2, 2020 at Community Hospice in Vidalia, GA.

 Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, January 17, at Gresston Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Dwayne Burney officiating.

 Mrs. Opal was a lifelong resident of Dodge County, a member of Gresston Baptist Church, and a homemaker. She was a dedicated wife and a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late Emmie Campbell Howell and James Henry Howell and was preceded in death by 2 Husbands, Uley Tripp and Malvin A. Rhodes.

 She is survived by her Children – Bill Tripp (Debra) of Eastman, Kay Tanner (Ray) of Twin City, GA, Robby Ray Tripp of Eastman, Barbara Evans of Lamar, SC, Sandra Walker (Charles) of Kathleen, GA, and John Rhodes (Faye) of Gainesville, GA; 16 Grandchildren – Mandy Harding (Brian), Robert L. Tripp (Crystal), William Tripp (Ashley), Rebecca Tripp Watson (Ben), James Anderson (Stacey), Cindy Jones (Jeremy), Jimmy Rae Anderson, Anthony Tripp, Beth Tripp, Paige Summers (Rob), Sharron Evans, Doug Evans, Joni Godbee (James), Jud Rhodes (Crystal), Julie Bailey (Andy), and Mike Walker (Jill); 28 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.

 The family has requested the omittance of all flowers and would prefer donations to Community Hospice, 904 Mt Vernon Rd, Vidalia, GA 30474, or your local hospice organization.
