MR. OLLIE BENSON MOORE, age 82, of the Cedar Grove Community in Laurens County, died Friday, December 20, 2024, at Scott Health and Rehab in Adrian, GA.

 Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, December 22, at Cedar Grove Methodist Church, with Rev. Jerry Roe officiating, with interment in Burch Cemetery in Cedar Grove.

 Ollie B. was born in Eastman, GA on June 10, 1942, to the late Lillie Fincher Moore and Robert “Bob” Moore. He was raised in Chauncey, GA and was a 1960 graduate of Dodge County High School. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam Conflict. He served his country proudly for two years before returning home and marrying his loving wife, Rebecca, in 1967. After returning home, he worked in construction on numerous Stuckey Stores across the country while working for Clark Shepherd Construction. He and his wife lived in Cedar Grove, where they raised their children, Dana, Susan, and Jeffery. In the early 1970s, he went to work for Graham and Studstill Construction and retired in 2004, after over 40 years in construction. Ollie B. loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, riding his Gator, spending time with his faithful dog, Ace, and he was an avid reader. He especially enjoyed reading and watching Western’s. He was a devoted husband of over 57 years and a loving father and grandfather. He was affectionately known as “Pa Pa” to his grandchildren who he loved dearly and “Uncle Ollie B.” to his beloved nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Ollie B. was preceded in death by his Siblings, Robert Moore, Raymond Moore, John L. Moore, Dave Moore, Elizabeth Moore Jones, Vancine Moore Rhodes, Corrine Moore Brown, and Carolyn Moore Selph.

 He is survived by his Wife – Rebecca Burch Moore of Cedar Grove, GA; Daughters – Dana Moore and Susan Moore, both of Cedar Grove, GA; Son – Jeffery Moore (Rachael) of Cedar Grove, GA; Granddaughters – Madison Moore and Makenzie Moore, both of Cedar Grove, GA; Sister – Roz Moore Mullis of Cochran, GA; Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

 The family may be contacted at the residence of Dana Moore, 2959 Chic Inn Rd., Alamo, GA 30411, and will receive friends in Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home from 6:00PM-8:00PM Saturday, December 21. In addition to flowers, the family request contributions to Cedar Grove Methodist Church, % Heather Browning, 5054 US Hwy 441 South, Dublin, GA 31021.
