NICHOLAS WADE MASSINGILL, age 18, of Eastman, GA, died Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the Medical Center Navicent Health in Macon.

NICHOLAS WADE MASSINGILL, age 18, of Eastman, GA, died Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the Medical Center Navicent Health in Macon.

    Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Monday, March 4, at Grace Baptist Church, with Rev. Alvin Merritt and Rev. Matthew Floyd officiating, with interment in Bowen Cemetery.

    Nicholas was born in Dublin, GA, of the Christian faith, and was a student at Dodge County High School.  He was a loving son who brought a smile to anyone who knew him and was a loyal supporter of his sister Elizabeth’s softball career and enjoyed attending his brother Caleb’s basketball games.  He was preceded in death by his Grandfathers, Larry Brown and Jerry Huckabee, and his Great-Grandparents, Hoyt Law, Milton Wright, Ina Taylor Wright, Nick Massingill, and Lucille Massingill.

    Survivors:  Mother and Father – Keisha Brown Massingill and Robert C. “Robbie” Massingill both of Eastman;  Sister – Elizabeth Massingill of Eastman;  Brother – Caleb Clark;  Maternal Grandmother – Patsy Brown of Eastman;  Paternal Grandmother – Iris Huckabee of Eastman;  Paternal Grandparents – Randall Massingill and Barbara Massingill of Eastman;  Paternal Great-Grandmother – Eunice Law of Eastman;  Aunts and Uncles – April Floyd (Matthew) of Lyons, Larry Brown (Brandy), Bradley Huckabee (Erica), both of Eastman, Michael Crump, Tommy Crump (Robin), and Lynn Crump all of Valdosta;  Several Great-Aunts, Great-Uncles and Numerous Cousins.

    The family may be contacted at the Massingill residence, 853 Jim Ross Rd., Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 5:00PM-7:00PM Sunday, March 3.  In addition to flowers contributions may be made to Laurens County Board of Health Children’s Medical Services, 2505 Bellevue Road, Dublin, GA 31021.
