MRS. MAZIE BELLE COOPER PRUETT, age 88, of Eastman, GA, died Thursday, April 2, 2020 at Heart of Georgia Nursing Home.

 A private family graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 4, at El Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. John Cadwell officiating.

 Mazie was born in McRae, a member, former secretary, Sunday School teacher, VBS teacher and choir member of Parkerson Baptist Church, and a homemaker. She was a former employee of Stuckey Candy Company for over 4 years and a former secretary for the family company, Eastman Roofing Company, until her retirement. She was a dedicated wife, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who loved to cook and was famous for her lemon pies and dressin’. Mazie loved to sew for her family, fishing, going to yard sales, and listening and going to blue grass festivals. Mazie was the daughter of the late Lillie Locke Cooper and Hubert H. Cooper and was preceded in death by a Daughter-in-law, Debbie Bowman Pruett, 2 Grandchildren, Charlotte Ward and Jason Ward, 2 Great-Grandsons, Jonah Barnett and Dustin Heath Pruett, Jr., Sister, Lillian Hart, and 3 Brothers, Melvin C. Cooper, Robert H. Cooper, and J.W. Cooper.

 She is survived by her Husband of 70 years – Jimmy Pruett, Sr. of Eastman; 6 Daughters – Roni Ward (Echard) of Dexter, Robin Davis (Andy) of Bartow, FL, Janice Cadwell (John), Patrice Rozar (Jimmy), Audrey Davis (Tony), and Vicki Noles (Mike) all of Eastman; 2 Sons – Jimmy Pruett, Jr. (Casey) and Jessie Pruett (Paige) both of Eastman; 17 Grandchildren; 36 Great-Grandchildren; 9 Great-Great-Grandchildren; Brother – Carl E. Cooper of Macon; 3 Sisters-in-law – Vivian Cooper, Connie Cooper, and Louise Pruett Kirkley-Brown; A host of Nieces and Nephews.

 In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to the St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital in memory of Jonah and the Whales, % P.O. Box 16, Eastman, GA 31023.
