MR. MORRIS TIMOTHY “TIM” TURNER, age 60, of Eastman, GA, died Thursday, August 12, 2021, at his residence.

 Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Monday, August 16, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Darrell Quinn and Rev. Mike Grenade officiating, with interment in Bowers Cemetery, in Empire.

 Tim was born in Dublin, of the Baptist Faith, and a 1978 graduate of Dodge County High School. He was raised on the family farm and learned the value of hard work early in his life. He was a farmer for Turner Family Farms and a former truck driver for Turner Trucking for over 40 years. He also worked with Del Monte in McRae for several years as a produce supervisor and later worked as a supervisor for the Dodge County Road Department for several years until leaving sometime in the late 2000’s. Tim loved cattle farming and enjoyed managing cows his entire life. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was affectionately referred to as “Big Daddy” by his grandchildren, which was a nickname he shared with his granddaddy. Tim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, and was preceded in death by his Father, Walter Morris Turner and an Aunt, Mary Parker Fincher.

 He is survived by Wife – Sylvia Oxley Turner of Eastman; Daughter – Brandi Anne Turner of Roberta; 2 Step-Sons – William Holt (Christina) of Hendersonville, NC and Brad Holt (Logan) of Plainfield; 4 Grandchildren – Graci White, Sophia Turner, Harper Holt, and Ryder Holt; Mother – Joyce Parker Turner Vaughn (Grady) of Eastman; Brother – Jeffrey Turner (Sylvia) of Eastman; Step-Brother – Tim Vaughn (Paula) of Eastman; Brother-in-law – Billy Oxley (Yvonne) of Gresston; Nephews and Niece – Kyle Turner (Millie), Walt Turner, Will Vaughn (Devin), and Tana Vaughn; Aunt – Sandra Walker (Herschel Couey) of Wrightsville; Close Family Friend – Durwood Graham; Numerous Cousins and Friends.

 The family may be contacted at the Turner residence, 417 Bell Line Rd., Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 6:00PM-8:00PM Sunday, August 15.
