MR. MORRIS PARKER, age 80, of Claremont, NC, formerly of Daytona Beach, FL, died Sunday March 3, 2024, in Sherrills Ford Hospice House in Sherrills Ford, NC.

 Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, March 16, at Woodlawn Cemetery, with Rev. Mike Grenade officiating.

 Morris was born in Raul, GA, lived for several years in Eastman, GA and later moved with his family to Jacksonville, FL. He joined the U.S. Army and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. After leaving the Army, he moved to Massachusetts for a few years before relocating to Daytona Beach, FL, where he met the love of his life. He worked as an industrial mechanic for several companies over his long career including Merita Bread Bakery. He lived in Daytona until his wife’s passing and later moved to Warrior, AL for a short while before moving to Claremont, NC. Morris was the son of the late Mary Vaughn Parker and Royce Parker and was preceded in death by his Wife, Mildred “Millie” Hardin Parker, and his Siblings, Alton Parker, Helen Parker, Leroy Parker, and Jimmy Lee Parker.

 He is survived by his Stepchildren; Several Step-Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren; Numerous Nieces and Nephews including, Bryian and Beth Parker of Denver, NC.

 The family will receive friends following the graveside services on Saturday, March 16, 2024.
