MRS. MELTEEN JONES COOK, age 75, of Eastman, GA, died Saturday, November 21, 2020 at her residence.

 Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, November 25, at Bay Springs Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Plainfield, with Rev. Mike Grenade officiating.

 Melteen was a lifelong resident of Eastman, a dedicated member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where she volunteered as a nursery worker, a 1963 graduate of Dodge County High School, and a homemaker. She worked for several years at Reeves Brothers, Inc., the Village Barn, and Stuckey’s Candy Company. She also baby sat for many years and helped raise numerous children in the community. Melteen was the daughter of the late Christine Allen Jones and Colen O. Jones and was preceded in death by her Husband of 55 years Donald Cook, and a Brother, G.C. Jones.

 She is survived by her 3 Daughters – Joyce C. Hutto, Kay C. West (Mike) both of Eastman, and Tammy C. Clyde (Sean) of Blairsville; 3 Grandchildren – Melissa Rambin (Todd Kirkley) of Eastman, Kyle Miller (Tiffany) of Jacksonville, NC, and Michelle Miller (Timmy Morris) of Georgetown, KY; 6 Great-Grandchildren – Riley Widener, Jessie Rambin, Will Rambin, James Miller, Joseph Miller, and Sheyanne Rambin; 3 Sisters – Linda Roberson of Rhine, Betty Weathersbee, and Geraldine Sheffield both of Eastman; 2 Brothers – Ernest Jones of Plainfield and Bobby Jones of Dublin; 3 Brothers-in-law – Herman Cook (Sylvia) of Brunswick, Ken Cook (Norma) of Colorado, and Ricky Cook of Eastman; Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

 The family may be contacted at the Cook residence, 244 Bedsole Road, Eastman. Mrs. Melteen will lie-in-state from 11:00AM-4:00PM Tuesday, November 24. In addition to flowers, the family request contributions to Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1530 Airport Road, Eastman, GA 31023.
