MRS. MARY JEAN MARTIN BRACEWELL, age 91, of Eastman, GA, died Monday, August 1, 2022, at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin.

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Thursday, August 4, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Clay Layfield and Rev. Todd Crosby officiating, with interment in Orphans Cemetery.

 Mary Jean was born in Eastman, GA, September 22, 1930. She was a dedicated member of Eastman First Baptist Church and the Ladies Sunday School class. She was a graduate of Eastman High School and was a retired store associate for Atlanta Gas Light working there over 30 years. Mary Jean was a dedicated wife and a loving stepmother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, who enjoyed reading, camping, and spending time at the river with her husband, Justin. She also enjoyed the many canine companions she and Justin had over the years. She was the daughter of the late Eula Beatrice Harrison Martin and Jesse Lee Martin, and was preceded in death by her husbands, Clark Floyd and Justin Bracewell, 5 brothers, Calvin V. Martin, Jesse “Willard” Martin, Jack L. Martin, Troy “Hibo” Martin, and Herman E. Martin, and a grandson-in-law, Reggie Pilcher.

 She is survived by her 3 Step-Sons – Ronald Bracewell (Betty B.) of Cochran, Robert Bracewell (Betty P.) of Atlanta, and Leslie Bracewell (Ann) of Eastman; 6 Grandchildren – Craig Bracewell of Macon, Ronald Bracewell, Jr. (Susan) of Gainesville, GA, Pam Pilcher of Augusta, Ellen Jones (Danny) of Cochran, Bob Bracewell (Lisa), and Ted Bracewell, both of Atlanta; 7 Great-Grandchildren – Jenna Bracewell, Hailey Bracewell, Taylor Bracewell (Tiffany), Andy Bracewell, Jake Bracewell, Morgan Pilcher, and Mallory Pilcher; 2 Great-Great-Grandsons – Wyatt Bracewell and Harper Bracewell; Sister-in-law – Lydia Martin of Augusta; several beloved nieces and nephews.

 The family may be contacted at the residence of Leslie and Ann Bracewell, 2509 Orphans Cemetery Rd., Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 10:00AM-11:00AM Thursday, August 4. In addition to flowers, the family request contributions to the Eastman First Baptist Church Building Fund, 5107 Oak Street, Eastman, GA 31023.
