MRS. MARY FRANCES ROGERS WILSON, age 88, of Eastman, GA, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Dogwood Gardens.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Thursday, October 8, in Bay Springs Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Emory Howell and Rev. Craig Minor officiating, with interment in Bay Springs Cemetery in Plainfield.
Mary Frances was born in Eastman, GA on August 16, 1938, to the late Mary Bell Smith Rogers and Young Rogers. She was a member of Bay Springs Freewill Baptist Church in Plainfield and was a 1956 graduate of Dodge High School. She graduated from Macon Cosmetology School and worked as a beautician at several salons over the years. She married her husband, Herbert Lee Wilson on May 7, 1964, and was the mother of two children, Natalie and Nathaniel. She was a devoted wife of 43 years and a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. Mary Frances enjoyed shopping and traveling especially family trips to the beach and the North Georgia mountains. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was affectionately known as “Grandma”. She was a devout Christian lady and enjoyed singing in the choir and worshiping with her church family at Bay Springs Freewill Baptist Church for all her life.
In addition to her parents, Mary Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Lee Wilson, grandson, Quinn Conley, and siblings, Sara McLeod, Betty Sue Brown, and Tawana Ellington.
She is survived by her Daughter – Natalie Wilson Conley (Glen) of McRae; Son – Nathaniel Wilson (Brandi) of Eastman; 6 Grandchildren – Bailey Bates (Ben) of Jacksonville, NC, Emilee Wilson (Erich Zuhlsdorf) of Eastman, Ryan Young Wilson (Keyonna) of Dublin, William Sipps of Warner Robins, Austin Conley (Olivia) of Mt. Vernon, and Shelly King (Matthew) of Commerce; Great-Grandchildren – Noah Wilson, Ayden Wilson, Isaiah Wilson, and Ensleigh Wilson; Sister – Joyce Rogers Jones of Eastman; Several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family may be contacted at the residence of Nathaniel and Brandi Wilson, 498 Scarborough-Owens Road, Eastman, GA 31023, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 5:00PM-7:00PM Wednesday, October 7. In addition to flowers, the family requests contributions to Bay Spring Freewill Baptist Church, in care of Mark Driggers, 710 Chennault Street, Eastman, GA 31023.
