MS. MARY ABBILENE CARR, age 82, of Eastman, GA, died Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Heart of Georgia Nursing Home.

 Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, January 17, at Gresston Congregational Holiness Cemetery in Gresston, with Rev. Roy Williams officiating.

 Mary was born and raised in Eastman and was affected by cerebral palsy at an early age. She lived with her parents up until her mother’s passing in 2007. She attended Gresston Congregational Holiness Church and enjoyed listening to classic country music, talking on the phone, watching old movies, coloring, and spending time with her family. Mary was a strong-willed woman who never let her condition diminish her faith in the Lord or dampen her infectious personality. She was the daughter of the late Dorothy Lee Dykes Carr and John Albert Carr, Sr. and was preceded in death by her Sister, Mildred Hill.

 She is survived by her 2 Sisters – Gail Ford (W.C.) and Yvonne Brown (Mitchell), both of Eastman; 3 Brothers – Johnny Carr (Janice) of Loganville, Gary Carr (Lynn) of Waycross, and David Carr (Beth) of Eastman; Nieces and Nephews – Jay Hill, Kim Andrus (Brian), Tonya Ashley (Michael), Mandi Griffin, Andy Brown, Michelle Yawn (Ricky), John Carr, III (Marcella), Josh Carr (Joy), Scott Carr (Carrie), Amy Carr, Megan Carr (Keith), Chris Carr (Chantal), and Kasey Carr (Jackson); Numerous Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews; Aunt – Sarah Countryman of Warner Robins.

 The family will receive friends in Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home from 6:00PM-8:00PM Monday, January 16.
