Obituary for Lynn Hardeman

MRS. VICKI LYNN CORBITT HARDEMAN, age 57, of Eastman, GA, died Friday, July 8, 2022, at her residence.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, July 10, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Robbie Passmore officiating.

Lynn was born and raised in Pearson, GA, a graduate of Atkinson County High School, and after high school she toured the United States as a country music musician as well as playing piano and singing with Vicki Lee and the Cherokee Rose Band. During this time, she worked and performed with many country stars in the late 1980s. She was owner and operator of a men’s clothes store, Wise Guys, in Pearson for over five years. In 1990, she met the love of her life and they married in 1992 and moved to Eastman. She played and sang in the Hardeman’s Gospel Music Group for over 30 years, where they performed at benefit sings and church concerts throughout the Southeast. She worked several jobs over the years including B.C. Moore’s Department Store as a retail salesclerk, WUFF Radio as a sales representative and disc jockey, and as owner and operator of The Kountry Kitchen in the mid to late 1990s. In 1999, she went to work as a secretary and later as a training instructor for the Eastman Youth Development Center, where she worked for over 17 years. She was a dedicated wife of over 30 years and an adoring and loving mother to her greatest blessings in life, her children. Lynn was member of Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church and attended Gresston Baptist Church for the past nine years where she played the piano. She lived to play and sing gospel music and she used her talents the Lord bestowed to her to serve the Lord in all his glory. She loved traveling and enjoyed trips to the beach with her family. Lynn was the daughter of the late Felton Corbitt and Mildred Harrell Corbitt and was preceded in death by a Brother, Wayne Corbitt.

She is survived by her Husband – Lennie Hardeman of Eastman; Daughter – Lindsay Hardeman of Eastman; Son – Landon Hardeman of Eastman; Brother – Jack Corbitt (Marie) of Pearson; Mother-in-law and Father-in-law – Bobbie and Charles Hardeman of Eastman; Aunt – Margie Harrell of Pearson; Several nieces, nephews, and numerous extended family members and friends.

The family may be contacted at the Hardeman residence, 3247 Chester Hwy., Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 2:30PM-3:00PM Sunday, July 10.
